Life In ADHD

For my project I wanted to create an animation that captures how people with ADHD feel it affects their daily life. My goal was to create a space for people with ADHD to share their experiences, and to give people who don't have ADHD an insight into some of those struggles. Since the struggles of ADHD don't look the same for everyone, I wanted to show how they compare and contrast from person to person. Animating the interviews of those with ADHD allowed me to interact with the narrative more directly, and create visuals that can give the viewer a better understanding of how some of these struggles feel.

This project gave me a weird new insight to how ADHD affects my everyday life. While animating this narrative, I found myself struggling with many of the issues that are present within the animation. For example, focusing on one repetitive task for long periods of time, such as animation, can be difficult for me. This project tested my ability to find motivation to follow through with long term projects. As frustrating as it was sometimes, it allowed me to be more thoughtful about how I am affected by ADHD.
